About Us
Paris Gibson Education Center is a school for students who desire to reach their educational goals somewhere other than their traditional high school.
Paris is a school of choice. Students must have the maturity level to work and plan independently. They must have a strong motivation to graduate. We expect our students to be here all day, every day and to graduate. We do have the flexibility to develop individual schedules based on need due to external factors over which the student does not have control.
Students receive a high quality education at Paris. They will be prepared for their next step if they put in the work. No student will graduate from Paris unless we, as a staff, feel that he/she is adequately prepared. Many of our students go on to college, some to the military and others to the work force.
Students, if extremely motivated, can finish a semester early or take up to an extra year to graduate. Upon entering Paris, students will meet with their teacher advisor and develop a Graduation and Beyond Plan (GAB). That plan will detail what they will need to do in order to graduate and what their plan is for the first year beyond high school.
We are proud of our students and staff at Paris Gibson Education Center. We work hard to develop relationships with every student and to make school meaningful and relevant while understanding that students have barriers to their education. We work hard to remove those barriers in order to have the student ready for his/her next step in life.
